It would make him "the most feared man" in Hollywood, and that, Ricky Gervais joked, is reason enough to volunteer himself as a potential host for both the Oscars and the Golden Globes.
“They haven’t asked me officially yet, and I don’t know whether I’d say yes. It’s very tempting,” Gervais told an "Access Hollywood" reporter Wednesday night about returning as Golden Globes host. "It’s tempting … for three hours, I’m the most feared man in L.A., so that’s nice."

Gervais continued, "I think NBC wants me to do it, but (the) Hollywood Foreign Press have got to want me as well. It’s their event. It’s their party."
Gervais also piped right up with an offer to pull double awards season duty when the interviewer mentioned Eddie Murphy was no longer hosting the Oscars.
"I’ll do that as well. I’ll be in town any way for the Globes," he laughed. "Two for one offer. I can knock off 20 percent. Two for one deal. I’ll just stay up there."
