‘Riverdale’: Watch the River Vixens Serenade Archie and His Fellow Inmates to ‘Jailhouse Rock’ (Video)

Archie is in juvenile detention after last week’s Season 3 premiere

Putting Archie in juvenile detention can’t keep him from playing football — or keep Veronica from cheering him on from the sidelines.

In a new clip released from this week’s episode of “Riverdale,” Veronica and the River Vixens serenade Archie and his fellow inmates in juvie with a performance of “Jailhouse Rock.”

“Who the hell is that?” one of Archie’s new pals says when the Vixens roll up, interrupting a football game that Archie put together to bridge the animosity between the Ghoulies and the Serpents.

“That’s my girl,” Archie says, looking a little confused before the music starts and all the boys rally around the chainlink fence to watch the cheerleaders. Josie, Cheryl and Veronica then lead the Vixens in a stirring rendition of the Elvis Presley classic. Despite the boys’ approval, Veronica’s performance leaves her father Hiram less than pleased.

“Riverdale” stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Luke Perry, Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos and Skeet Ulrich.

“Riverdale” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
