But men’s short program on NBC (figure) skates circles around broadcast competition

“Roseanne” is already boosting ABC’s TV ratings. The classic (and revived) sitcom’s cast reunion on “20/20” just matched the news magazine program’s season high — and that was against NBC’s Olympics.

Unfortunately for ABC, CBS reruns topped a soft performance by “The Bachelor Winter Games.”

NBC finished first on Thursday, CBS was second and ABC third.

NBC was first in ratings with a 3.9 rating/16 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 16 million, according to preliminary numbers. Last night’s Pyeongchang Winter Games peaked with men’s short program figure skating.

CBS was second in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 5.5 million, airing all repeats.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 3.3 million. A two-hour “The Bachelor Winter Games” at 8 p.m. averaged a 0.7/3 and 3 million viewers. The “20/20” special at 10 had a 0.8/3 and 3.7 million viewers. By comparison, Tuesday’s “20/20” special had half that demo rating and far fewer overall eyeballs.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.46 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.3 million.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/1, but fourth in viewers with 1.49 million, running just repeats.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 732,000, airing only reruns.
