VH1 has announced a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” holiday special, featuring returning queens competing for the title of “Drag Race Xmas Queen.”

The eight queens competing on the hour-long “RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular” are Eureka O’Hara, Jasmine Masters, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Mayhem Miller, Shangela, Sonique and Trixie Mattel.

The special is set to air on Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.

In addition to host and judge RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews and Todrick Hall will also return to evaluate the contestants’ holiday-themed performances, which will include two lip syncs to music from RuPaul’s two Christmas albums.

“Nothing says Christmas like ‘Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and drag queens slipping on their pantyhose,” said RuPaul in a statement. “Celebrating the holidays with my most festive girls inspired me to record my new album, ‘Christmas Party.’ And this VH1 holiday extravaganza is my way of saying thank you to my ‘Drag Race’ family by spreading a little bit of love, laughter and light across the country and around the world.”

The special will be produced by World of Wonder Productions with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Corfe, Mandy Salangsang and RuPaul Charles serving as executive producers.  Pamela
Post and Tim Palazzola will executive produce for VH1. Jen Passovoy is producer.

The news comes ahead of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 11 and the fourth installment of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars,” both of which have been greenlit by the network.
