Ryan Hansen Is Still Making Fun of YouTube in Season 2 Trailer for ‘Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television’ (Video)

Actor-detective tricks his Hollywood friends into a ton of cameos

Ryan Hansen is back to solving crimes on television (well, YouTube), and so are a ton of his famous friends — whether they like it (or even know it) or not.

In Season 2, which got a trailer on Monday, Ryan’s back — but he’s with a brand new partner. After Mathers (Samira Wiley) was sidelined and put into a medically induced coma, tough-guy Vince Vincent (Wood Harris) stepped up to the plate to be the real cop to Hansen’s very not-real one. Together, the two must solve an array of puzzling crimes, all while trying to find Mathers’ assailant, per YouTube’s description.

And yes, the show’s running joke against the platform itself continues for its sophomore run.

“Fewer people watch it, but it costs way more money to make,” Hansen said as he explains YouTube Premium to one potential suspect.

He’s got a lot of people to pitch that line to: “Ryan Hanson Solves Crimes on Television” Season 2 guest stars include Jillian Bell, Rob Corddry, Jon Cryer, Rhys Darby, Donald Faison, Lucy Hale, Thomas Lennon, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Tim Matheson, Joel McHale, Tim Meadows, Stephen Merchant, Ben Schwartz, Dax Shepard, Jessica St. Clair, and Wiley.

The series is created by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who also serves as a writer and executive producer. The series is also executive produced by Beau Bauman, Jeff Wadlow and Thank You, Brain! Productions’ Tracey Baird and Krysia Plonka.

Season 2 of “Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television” debuts Jan. 30 on YouTube Premium.
