The stars of “Veronica Mars” have reunited to campaign for another season.
“The network is apparently finally considering bringing back our beloved show,” Kristen Bell begins their video, which was posted to YouTube on Thursday, “but it’s going to take something very special to push them over the edge.”
“Clever stunt campaigns have always been such a huge part of getting a show renewed,” her co-star Ryan Hansen explains, citing “Family Guy” as the lone example he can come up with.
“So, send letters, send maybe Mars bars,” a giddy Bell suggests, “to– does that say YouTube Red? What the f—, Ryan?”
Another “Mars” male co-star Jason Dohring echoes her “What the f—?” sentiment, and adds: “I thought this was about bringing back ‘Veronica Mars!’”
“You’re such a d—,” Bell says to Hansen, who so wonderfully takes self-deprecation and absorption to a whole new level.
In case you haven’t pieced it together by now, this setup was all a rouse to get “Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television” back for a second season on YouTube Red. Sorry, “Mars” fans.
