Ryan Murphy Teases Bubble Gum Murder Drama ‘Scream Queens’ (Video)

Humor and horror mix in first teaser for Emma Stone, Lea Michele led series

Ryan Murphy‘s new series is a horror comedy, as made abundantly clear in the first teaser for Fox’s “Scream Queens” that was aptly released on Friday the 13th.

A happy blonde teen chews gum and arches an eyebrow — before a knife brutally pops her bubble of blissful ignorance and blood splatters everywhere. It’s a quick tease, but it certainly sets the tone for the show.

The anthology series stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts (recently of Murphy’s FX drama “American Horror Story: Freak Show”), “True Blood” alum Joe Manganiello, “Glee” star Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin and Keke Palmer.

The first season of the series, which is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, will revolve around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.

Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande are also set for recurring guest-star roles.

“Scream Queens” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, and will debut on Fox in the fall.
