‘Sabrina’ Surprise: Yes, THAT Dead ‘Riverdale’ Character Showed Up in Greendale

Even though “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” is on Netflix and “Riverdale” is on network TV, there are now hints that a crossover is not entirely off the table.

On last week’s “Riverdale” episode, Ben Button (played by Moses Thiessen) was seemingly killed off when he awoke from a coma only to throw himself out of his hospital window. But this weekend, on the seventh episode of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” “Riverdale” fans were shocked to see Ben delivering a pizza to Miss Wardell.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is the executive producer on both shows, was asked by “Entertainment Tonight” about the surprising appearance. And although Aguirre-Sacasa would not confirm whether or not Ben survived his deadly window jump, he did note that the two shows are now connected.

“It suggests a very deep, deep mythology where time and space bends. I love that kid. I’m sad that he keeps turning up and horrible things keep happening to him,” he told “ET.” “It seemed like it was pretty final, but yet there he is in Greendale. But in Greendale, everyone pops up — the dead don’t stay dead long in Greendale.”

Catch “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” on Netflix now, and watch “Riverdale” Wednesdays at 8 on The CW.
