Drew Barrymore’s Sheila is going a little crazy book-reading in the basement of her California family home in the trailer for Season 2 of “Santa Clarita Diet.” And ya, her teenage daughter Abby (Liv Hewson) may be worried she’s gonna go out there and kill somebody. But she is only responsible for three deaths in total, thank you very much.
Netflix dropped the preview for the Victor Fresco comedy’s second installment on Thursday, giving us a sneak peek into what married realtors Sheila and Joel (Timothy Olyphant) are going to do about her little eating problem. Sheila wants to act like everything is fine and go back to living life the way things were before she was undead and feasting on human flesh. You know, just pretend like she’s definitely “never had an orgasm while eating a man’s liver.” Mmm.
Meanwhile, the kitchen is covered in blood, Sheila’s fingers are popping off and the couple are hoping to find out exactly what happened to her so no one else suffers from the affliction ever again — while still working on their housing development, of course.
The clip also reveals some new characters who get roped into this mess, played by Joel McHale, Andy Richter and Natalie Morales.
