Sarah Palin’s Fox News Interviews Canceled

Sarah Palin, the former vice presidential candidate, says she wanted to praise her one-time running mate, John McCain

Fox News canceled on Wednesday its planned interviews with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Palin said in a Facebook post that she planned to come on air to praise her former running mate Sen. John McCain, who spoke to the Republican National Convention Wednesday evening, for his "positive contributions to America" and reflect on "what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight."

"I'm sorry Fox canceled all my scheduled interviews tonight," she said in the post. "I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches."

Fox said in a statement that the decision to cancel the interviews was made amid a time cruch after the convention was postponed a day.

"Our plans changed based on the fact that the RNC condensed the schedule of speeches from four nights to three," said Bill Shine, the executive vice president of programming for Fox News. "We look forward to having Governor Palin back as soon as we can."

Palin has been a frequent face on Fox since her failed bid for vice presidency on the Republican ticket in 2008. Since then, she has starred in her own reality show — as has her daughter — and written books.
