Sarah Silverman, Tom Papa Headline Make A Film Foundation Benefit

Friday's Comedy Store show will aid children with serious or life-threatening illnesses

Sarah Silverman, Tom Papa, Chris D’Elia and Yakov Smirnoff are among the comics set for a show to benefit Make A Film Foundation’s Vidz-4-Kidz program.

The Comedy Con charity night will be held at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.

The Make A Film Foundation is a non-profit organization that teams children who have serious or life-threatening medical conditions with noted entertainment industry professionals who help them create short film legacies.

Among others set to perform at the benefit are Steve Rannazzisi, Maz Jobrani, Jimmy Shubert, Vargus Mason. Lisa Alvarado of TV’s “Last Comic Standing” will emcee.

Industry Professionals that have previously participated in the program include Diablo Cody, Kerry Washington, Elijah Wood, Isaiah Washington, Hailee Stanfield, Chandra Wilson, Chad Coleman and James Van Der Beek.

Also involved have been directors Bennett Miller, Marc Forster, Jon Poll, Rodrigo Garcia, Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton and Patricia Cardoso.
