ABC currently has nine of the top 20 broadcast entertainment shows on the air so far this season. That gives the network more shows in the top 20 than any of its competitors. ABC also has five shows in the top 10 to boot.

Since the season began in September, ABC shows are dominating in the advertiser coveted adults 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen most-current numbers — which measures live viewing plus seven days of playback for older episodes, and live-plus-same day ratings for newer episodes for which delayed viewing numbers are unavailable. New shows like “The Muppets” and “Quantico” are performing well with 2.5 and 2.6 average ratings, respectively.

The list does not include sports or news programming, which discounts NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” and CBS’ “Thursday Night Football” and “60 Minutes.”

Returning shows like “Modern Family,” (3.9) “The Goldbergs,” (2.8) and the entire Shondaland TGIT block of “Scandal,” (3.7) “Grey’s Anatomy,” (3.2) and “How to Get Away With Murder,” (3.2) all made it into the top 10.
