After working with her on the hit action movie “Lucy,” Universal Pictures is developing an adaptation of Jon Ronson’s “The Psychopath Test” as a potential starring vehicle for Scarlett Johansson, an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.

Jay Roach will direct from a script by Al Gore’s daughter Kristin Gore, who will adapt the book for Imagine Entertainment.

“Psychopath Test” is a psychological thriller about how the medical community diagnoses psychopaths, who are often charming, manipulative and dangerous.

Imagine’s Brian Grazer will produce with Roach, Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey, while Erica Huggins and Jennifer Perini will serve as executive producers.

Roach and Gore are already working together on the HBO comedy pilot “Women in Space,” while Ronson previously wrote the George Clooney movie “The Men Who Stare at Goats.”

Johansson’s “Lucy” grossed $460 million worldwide. She’s represented by CAA, LBI Entertainment and Morris Yorn, while WME and Mosaic rep Roach.

The news was first reported by Deadline.
