(Spoiler warning: Don't read this if you don't want to know yet who won "American Idol.")
Scotty McCreery beat Lauren Alaina to win the tenth season of "American Idol" on Wednesday night.
McCreery, 17, becomes the second-youngest "Idol" winner ever, coming in a few months shy of season six champ Jordin Sparks.

Alaina, a Georgia native, would have been the series' only 16-year-old winner in "Idol" history. She'll have to settle for being the youngest runner-up ever.
The finale was easily the series' biggest spectacle yet, featuring performances from a number of huge performers, including Beyonce, Lada Gaga, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, Judas Priest, Tim McGraw, Natalie Cole, TLC and Lil John.

While U2 had previously been announced as a performer, that turned out not to be entirely true. Instead, Bono and the Edge accompanied cast members of the Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" on one of their songs.
Judge Steven Tyler also did a solo performance of the Aerosmith song "Dream On," and Jennifer Lopez danced while husband Marc Anthony performed one of his songs with drummer Sheila E.
The finale capped a thrilling season that saw Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler taking over for Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres. Along with Randy Jackson, the trio exuded a nicer vibe from the judges panel than in years past and presided over a stretch in which favorites Casey Abrams and Pia Toscano were sent packing earlier than expected.
An astounding 122 million votes were cast for the finale, a record for the popular Fox competition show.
The Drudge Report predicted hours before the show that McCreery would win, saying he was ahead of Alaina by nearly a two-to-one margin.
