Fox News’ Sean Hannity erupted in a fiery interrogation of James Comey on Twitter Saturday after the former FBI director issued a strong warning to President Donald Trump.

It all started Saturday morning when Trump brought up Comey’s name in a tweet about the news media and the firing of FBI official Andrew McCabe Friday night.

“The Fake News is beside themselves that McCabe was caught, called out and fired. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars was given to wife’s campaign by Crooked H friend, Terry M, who was also under investigation? How many lies? How many leaks? Comey knew it all, and much more!” Trump wrote.

Within minutes, Comey, who has tweeted minimally since his ousting last May, responded with an uncharacteristic and cryptic jab: “Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.”

The former FBI chief’s memoir, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,” will be out on April 18, and its content is shrouded in secrecy: Politico said it “is getting the Harry Potter treatment.” Concerned about leaks of its “potentially explosive revelations,” the publisher, Flatiron Books, “has implemented a password-protected electronic system so that only those involved in the project have access to it,” and workers at the shipping factories are asked to sign nondisclosure agreements, sources told Politico.

Comey’s tweet prompted Hannity to pepper him with a question after question.

“Mr Comey what did you know about McCabe’s leaks/Conduct? Why was the unverified and salacious dossier (January 2017) used as ‘the bulk’ of the FISC application (October 2016)?” Hannity wrote in one of eight tweets that asked 25 questions, 11 of which were about Hillary Clinton.

He ended his interrogation with an invitation for Comey to appear on his show.
