William H. Macy is lining up a talented cast of established character actors and up-and-coming stars for his directorial debut "Rudderless."
Billy Crudup (“Almost Famous") and Laurence Fishburne (“The Matrix” trilogy) represent the tried and true end of the spectrum, while Anton Yelchin (“Star Trek"), Selena Gomez (the former Disney channel star currently napalming her squeaky clean image with “Spring Breakers”) are the youth part of the equation.
All four will star alongside the "Fargo" star and his wife Felicity Huffman of “Desperate Housewives” fame.
The musical drama centers on a grieving father finds a box of his deceased son's original music. To honor the memory of the boy, he forms a band to play the music.
The film is being produced by Keith Kjarval through his Unified Pictures production/finance banner.
Principal photography will commence this April in Oklahoma.
