Selena Gomez has returned to social media after a three-month hiatus.

“I have a lot to be thankful for this year,” the 24-year-old singer posted on Instagram on Thanksgiving Thursday. “My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I’ve finally fought the fight of not ‘being enough.’”

The singer took a hiatus from her career in August in order to take care of health issues, after sharing that she had been diagnosed with lupus in 2015.

Last weekend, Gomez made her first public appearance on stage at the American Music Awards, where she accepted the award for Favorite Female Artist, and got candid about her break.

“I had to stop because I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside,” she said onstage. “I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down.”

In her Thanksgiving Instagram post, which was a caption to a black and white photo of Gomez posing with a sea of fans, the singer concluded: “I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU. By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless.”
