The Oppenheim Group is expanding — and not just into new real-estate offices. Netflix has ordered another spinoff of “Selling Sunset”: “Selling the OC” will follow Jason Oppenheim’s expansion into Orange County, TheWrap has confirmed.
Jason is the only crossover cast member from “Selling Sunset” to “Selling the OC,” we’re told. New cast members for this latest spinoff are Newport Beach agents Alexandra Hall, Austin Victoria and Brandi Marshall, among others.
“Selling the OC,” which is filming this fall, hails from universe creator Adam DiVello. The series is produced by Done and Done Productions and Lionsgate.
Set in the world of Los Angeles’ high-end real estate, “Selling Sunset” follows the city’s most successful realtors who all work under the same roof at The Oppenheim Group, the No. 1 agency in the Hollywood Hills and the Sunset Strip. They work hard and play harder, as they compete with the cutthroat L.A. market… and each other, the logline reads.
Joining Jason Oppenheim on that O.G. series (not to be easily confused with the O.C. series) is his twin brother and business partner Brett Oppenheim, as well as agents Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith and Maya Vander.
Season 4 of “Selling Sunset” premieres Nov. 24 on Netflix. There are two new faces in the office this year: “El Señor de los Cielos” actress Vanessa Villela and entrepreneur Emma Hernan. (Technically, they’ll be there for Season 5 too.)
Earlier in 2021, Netflix ordered a spinoff of “Selling Sunset” now titled “Selling Tampa.” That one follows military vet Sharelle Rosado’s Allure Realty, the all-Black, all-female real-estate firm that has its eyes set on dominating the Suncoast. These ladies are equally as fun as they are fiercely ambitious, with all of them vying to be on top of the lavish world of luxury waterfront real estate, according to Netflix.
Sharelle has big plans for her brokerage and won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of making her dreams a reality, the series description continues. She’ll fit right in with the whole “Selling” universe.
