Seth Meyers criticized Donald Trump Monday night not for taking a 17-day vacation at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, but for being a “lying hypocrite” in doing so.
“To be clear, I’m not criticizing Trump for taking vacations, I’m criticizing him for being a lying hypocrite,” the “Late Night” host said. “Even lying hypocrites deserve vacations.”
“If I get elected president, I’m gonna be in the White House a lot, we have deals to make,” Trump said in a succession of clips played on Meyers’ show, highlighting several times the president has either criticized former President Obama for taking vacation or saying how few vacations he would take as leader in the White House.
Meyers also decried the White House’s constant state of “chaos,” asking, “what does he think he’s done to deserve this vacation?”
Meyers went on to bash Trump’s “real news” series, which is hosted by former CNN commentator Kaley McEnany and headed up by Eric Trump’s wife, Lara Trump. Meyers called it “like state news crossed with a school announcement: ‘It’s pizza day in the cafeteria, but you won’t hear that from the failing New York Times.'”

Stephen Miller: 8 Late-Night Insults for Trump's 'Basic Henchman' (Photos)
Trump adviser Stephen Miller made a splash Wednesday by calling CNN's Jim Acosta "insulting, ignorant and foolish." But late-night hosts have had some harsh assessments of him, too. For example:
Sunday morning shows to push the president's border policies. Late-night hosts were not impressed by his chilly claim that "the powers of our president to protect our country... will not be questioned," and compared him to some unflattering people, places and cartoon characters. For example...
"Sméagol in a suit" - Trevor Noah
"That guy is 31 years old and he already looks like he's two-thirds of the way to Montgomery Burns." - Seth Meyers
"Young Gargamel" - Stephen Colbert
Superman villain General Zod - Stephen Colbert
(Context: After making the Gargamel comment, Colbert played a video of the previously mentioned Stephen Miller quote. Then Colbert joked that Miller then added, "I am become death, destroyer of worlds. Kneel before Zod." Which is a combo of famous quotes by Robert Oppenheimer and Zod.)
"The guy who shows up with a flashlight when teens are getting drunk in a graveyard." - Seth Meyers
"If you're wondering why his face looks familiar, it's probably because you see him every time you take off our socks. Black people, you can ignore that joke." - Trevor Noah
"A basic henchman" - Trevor Noah
"A guilty husband who got caught texting with a female co-worker." - Seth Meyer
We'll keep updating this list as more Stephen Miller insults roll in.
