Seth Rogen, Stephen Colbert Expertly Troll Donald Trump Jr on Twitter (Video)

DMs are both polite and punishing

Seth Rogen and Stephen Colbert spent some of Monday’s “Late Show” teaching a masterclass on Twitter trolling. Their target? Donald Trump Jr.

It all started a few months back when Rogen realized President Trump’s son and namesake followed him on the social media platform.

“I then followed him to try to open a line of communication with the son of the President of the United States,” the comedic actor told his CBS host last night.

That whole attempt started with this public tweet: “Yo! @DonaldTrumpJr! I noticed you follow me on Twitter. Please ask your dad to resign before he destroys the planet. Thanks dude.”

“He iced me on that one,” Rogen said. Soon, it was direct message time.

“Hey man! It’s Seth. Your father is trying to discredit our media, collude with Russia, and destroy the environment,” Rogen privately messaged Trump Jr., which he screenshot and shared with Colbert’s audience Monday. “It would be super cool of you to be like ‘yo, dad, why don’t you stop all this and go back to just being a guy on TV.’ The majority of the world would be pretty psyched. Thanks!!!”

Crickets from Trump Jr. on that one — and the same from a late-night follow-up.

As it turns out, Trump Jr. follows Colbert on Twitter, too — so that guy got in on the DM-ing action. Check out all the one-sided conversations below, and watch the “Late Show” video above.
