After a boost in viewership, Bravo doubled the episodes for next week

All it took was the promise of a gay catfight and the viewers came a-running to Tuesday’s episode of Bravo’s “Shahs of Sunset.”

It attracted 836,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted Adults ages 18-49 demographic and 866,000 viewers in Bravo’s key demo, adults 25-54. It also earned a season-high number of total viewers with close to 1.5 million people tuning in to the episode.

After the ratings boost, Bravo scheduled a double helping of episodes for next week. The first will air on Sunday at 9/8c after “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And the second will air in its regular slot on Tuesday at 10/9c.

The episode featured castmember Reza Farahan’s catfight, nay, catfights (plural) with another Iranian gay man who just pushed all the wrong buttons. Later, the argument would place Farahan against his own friends, the show’s monied Iranian-American Los Angelinos.
