Shailene Woodley’s ‘Endings, Beginnings’ Lands at Samuel Goldwyn

The North American rights to Drake Doremus’ “Endings, Beginnings,” starring Shailene Woodley, Jamie Dornan and Sebastian Stan, have been picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.

The film made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

“Endings, Beginnings” follows Daphne (Woodley), a 30-something-year-old woman in Los Angeles, who navigates life over the course of one year. She meets Jack (Dornan) and Frank (Stan) at a party.

Francis Chung, Robert George and Doremus, produced, while the film was co-produced by Fred Lee. Doremus and Jardine Libaire wrote the screenplay for the film.

The deal was negotiated by UTA Independent Film Group and Adam Mehr at Pryor Cashman on behalf of the filmmakers with Goldwyn on behalf of Samuel Goldwyn Films.

Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales excluding Asia, while CJ Entertainment is handling sales in Asia.
