Sharon Osbourne took a personal day from CBS daytime offering “The Talk” on Monday amid reports over the weekend that she’s separating from her husband of more than three decades, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.

Osbourne’s “Talk” cohort Julie Chen addressed the absence — and the reports of marital discord — at the top of the episode.

“Before we get started, as you can see, Sharon is not here today,” Chen said.

“There were many tabloid headlines this past weekend about Sharon and Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage,” she continued. “Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same.”

According to media reports that circulated over the weekend, Ozzy agreed to move out of their home, at least temporarily, and Sharon believes that her rocker husband has been cheating on her.

The couple married in 1982 and have three children together. Their relationship has experienced its share of turbulence, chiefly stemming from Ozzy’s substance abuse issues, however the rocker has reportedly been sober in recent years.

CBS had no comment on Osbourne’s decision to skip Monday’s episode.
