Shia LaBeouf Wakes Up Next to Dead Guy in ‘Charlie Countryman’ Trailer (Video)

The opening to the the actor’s new film leads him to fall in love with the dead man’s daughter — who has a dangerous husband who might make LaBeouf a dead man before the credits roll

Shia LaBeouf goes on a wild and weird journey in “Charlie Countryman,” which kicks off when he wakes up to find a dead man’s head resting on his shoulder during a plane ride to Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

The first trailer shows LaBeouf proceeding to fall for the dead man’s daughter, a Romanian woman played by Evan Rachel Wood, and then proceeding to get do a lot of drugs Rupert Grint (“Harry Potter”), only to possibly be killed by his new love’s crime-lord husband, Mads Mikkelsen (“Hannibal”).

The debut feature from director Fredrik Bond received mixed reviews upon premiering at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, but certainly appears to be an entertaining trip through the Romanian criminal underground.

Melissa Leo, Vincent D’Onofrio, Til Schweiger, James Buckley and John Hurt co-star in the drama formerly titled (spoiler alert) “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman,” being simultaneously released in theaters and VOD on Nov. 15.
