Shine America Ups Adam Neal to Vice President of Development

Neal is developing projects such as “Covert Kitchens” and “Going Wild” for Shine America

Shine America, the production company and distributor behind such series as “The Biggest Loser” and “MasterChef,” has promoted Adam Neal to vice president, unscripted development, the company said Friday.

Neal, who’s been with the company since 2012, is currently developing the Spike TV project “Covert Kitchens” and the Nat Geo Wild project “Going Wild” for Shine.

“Adam is a truly talented development executive with a great deal of experience and a strong ability to develop fresh and innovative projects,” Shine’s senior vice president, unscripted development Chris Culvenor said. “He’s played a huge role in the growth of our unscripted business and will continue to do so as our slate expands.”

Before coming aboard Shine, Neal had worked as a producer on reality shows including “MasterChef” and “America’s Next Top Model.” His career also includes a stint as a manager of development for Hearst Entertainment.
