Berlusconi was found guilty and sentenced to four years in jail last October for creating a slush fund with money used to buy U.S. film rights, which then, in turn, allowed his Media broadcast company to pay lower taxes. Berlusconi also faces jail time for a separate June conviction for paying an underaged girl for sex. He was sentenced to seven years in jail for that, and is expected to appeal that the Italian Supreme Court.
