‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ Gets Innovative With Animated Promotional Images

Animated images show off slick visual style that’s a signature of the “Sin City” films

The “Sin City” sequel is getting a little creative with their latest promotional releases. The original film, released in 2005, was an innovative art project, so it would make sense that the sequel would step outside the box to promote “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”

Sitting somewhere between static images and a full trailer, fans can whet their appetite for the Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller film, hitting theaters August 22, with these animated images (or animated GIFs).

“Sin City” was as much about its slick visuals as it was about its crime noir story, and these animated images prove that it’s going to look just as good the second time around. If nothing else, the technological advances of the past nine years have it poised to be even more visually striking.
