‘SNL’ Featured Player Leaving After a Year

Say goodbye to “Sex” Ed Vincent; Paul Brittain has left the building

The revolving door that is the "Saturday Night Live" cast just took another turn.

"SNL" feature player Paul Brittain has departed the late-night sketch series, an individual familiar with the departure confirms to TheWrap. No reason was given for the departure.

Brittain, 35, debuted on the show in September of 2010.

Brittain, a Naperville, Illinois native and nephew of comic Bob Newhart, was known for recurring characters such as sex expert "Sex" Ed Vincent, and for his impersonation of celebrities such as James Franco and Johnny Depp.

This week's episode of "Saturday Night Live" will be hosted by Channing Tatum, with Bon Iver as musical guest.

Maybe Brittain will tune in.
