‘SNL’: Robert Mueller Can’t Commit to Trump Collusion in ‘Bachelor’ Finale (Video)

Kate McKinnon took on the role of Special Counsel Robert Mueller to give Becca even more bad news — moving his case toward obstruction of justice

“SNL” brought politics to a spoof of the season finale of “The Bachelor,” with Kate McKinnon playing Special Counsel Robert Mueller with even more bad news for Becca.

McKinnon’s Mueller sat down with Becca, played by Cecily Strong, in a riff on “The Bachelor” finale. In the real show, Bachelor Arie had to break the news to Becca that he wouldn’t be marrying her. Mueller wasn’t trying to marry Becca, but he did have to tell her he probably wasn’t going to make a case against Donald Trump on collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election — which means that Trump probably won’t be impeached.

“You don’t have Trump on collusion?” Strong’s Becca asked after Mueller told her. “You indicted 13 Russians.”

“The more time that goes by, the more I keep thinking about obstruction,” McKinnon’s Mueller answered.

“This is embarrassing,” Becca said. “Collusion is literally the only thing I’ve been looking forward to this year.”

“I know but I feel like I’m only half in with collusion,” Mueller said.

“So that’s it, he’s just going to be president?” Becca asked in disbelief.

“I don’t know how to answer that,” said Mueller.

“F—!” she blurted.

Strong’s Becca couldn’t believe what the future might have in store for her with Mueller’s investigation focusing on obstruction of justice, rather than collusion with Russia.

“So I have to wait two more years for him to be out of office?” she asked, starting to cry.

“Honestly probably six,” McKinnon’s Mueller said.

Becca continued to question Mueller about how so many Trump scandals weren’t aligning to push him out of the White House.

“So Stormy daniels, that’s nothing?” Becca asked.

“No, that’s definitely fun it’s just not what I’m doing,” he returned.

Before throwing Mueller out of the room in her anguish, Becca had just one more question for him.

“So yo have no good news for me?”

“Do you own American steel?” Mueller asked. “Then no.”
