Snoop Dogg … Err, Lion … Is Dread-ful in ‘Reincarnated’ Trailer (Video)

"Reincarnated" traces Snoop Dogg's transformation from rapper to reggae artist Snoop Lion

One would think that, given his self-professed fondness for weed, Snoop Dogg would come back as a bong in his next life. But as it turns out, the "Doggystyle" rapper has found a new existence as a reggae performer named Snoop Lion, and now fans are getting a glimpse of the transformation in the trailer for his upcoming documentary "Reincarnated."

The film, directed by Andy Capper and a, uh, joint venture between VICE Films and Snoopadelic Films, chronicles Snoop's pilgrimage to Trench Town area of Jamaica as he leaves the rap game behind to embark on a new life as a Rastafarian and a new career as a reggae artist. (The resulting album, perhaps not coincidentally, is also titled "Reincarnated.")
