‘Snowfall’ Renewed for Season 2 by FX

TCA 2017: Drama series about L.A. crack epidemic returns in 2018

FX is hooked on “Snowfall,” which has landed a renewal for Season 2.

The drama series that launched its currently airing first season last month will return with the follow-up run in 2018. The network announced the news at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour on Wednesday.

“Snowfall,” centering on the start of the crack epidemic in Los Angeles in the 1980s, was created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron.

The cast includes Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt and Amin Joseph.

Singleton, Amadio, Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Michael London and Trevor Engelson are executive producers.

“Snowfall” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
