Sofia the First, say hello to Ariel the Mermaid.
The newest Disney princess and the fish-tailed cartoon icon come face-to-face in the upcoming special “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace,” which premieres Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. on the Disney Channel and airs Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. on Disney Junior.

In the special, Sofia is magically transformed into a mermaid and encounters Ariel during her underwater adventures.
For the special, Jodi Benson, who gave voice to Ariel in the 1989 film “The Little Mermaid,” returns to reprise her role. (“Mad Men” actress Kiernan Shipka also appears in the special, as the voice of a young mermaid named Oona.)
