An actor whose credits include “Sons of Anarchy” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was sentenced Friday after pleading no contest to animal cruelty for killing his roommate’s pet rabbit, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

Dimitri Diatchenko, 47, was sentenced to three years formal probation, 60 days community labor and 48 hours of animal cruelty counseling. According to the district attorney’s office, Diatchenko, of North Hollywood, killed the rabbit on Dec. 6, 2014, after his roommate had told the defendant that they should no longer live together.

The two previously had a romantic relationship, the DA’s office said.

After the roommate left the house. Diatchenko skinned the pet, cooked it and ate part of it, while sending her graphic photos of what he did, the prosecutor said.

Diatchenko’s other credits include “How I Met Your Mother,” “Burn Notice” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”
