‘Sopranos’ Star Michael Imperioli Joins ‘Lucifer’ Season 2

Michael Imperioli has committed to Season 2 of Fox’s “Lucifer.”

The announcement came Monday afternoon during the broadcast network’s Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, which featured a joint “Gotham”-“Lucifer” panel. The deal just closed this morning.

Angel Uriel is a brother of the titular devil, played by Tom Ellis.

Season 2 will revolve around Lucifer Morningstar’s mom (Tricia Helfer), producers told media members in attendance.

In addition to his lengthy run as Chris Moltisanti on the HBO mob drama, Imperioli is known for “Law & Order,” “Mad Dogs” and “Hawaii Five-0.”
