Who would win in a fight between Captain America and Spider-Man? That's an argument that most of us had in our youth — and some of us in our 20s and 30s. (By the way, the answer is definitively "Spider-Man.")
But can Spidey take two Captain Americas? We almost found that out on Wednesday afternoon, when a turf war fistfight broke out near Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard between superhero character impersonators.

Witnesses say that the three superheroes — unregulated buskers who earn money taking photos with tourists for tips — shoved and threw punches at each other on the sidewalk over issues of territory.
Juan Diego, ironically a native of Spain, was one of the Captain Americas involved in the fight.
“I tell them the truth. I tell them, ‘You’re a thief!’” Diego told a local CBS reporter. “That is not good for the image, the perception, the spirit of Hollywood. We are all ambassadors.”
“All of a sudden, two Captain Americas and Spider-Man started circling around me," witness Vernardo Stroud, who works the nearby Madame Tussauds' kiosk, told KCAL9. "Captain America just hit one of [the Captain Americas], and Spider-Man started bleeding.”
“I was just stunned at the moment," he added. "Then all of a sudden, it just got to me … I got to get them out of the way. The tourists just looked around like they were enjoying the moment."
A local Batman, identified as AC Simmons, must have missed his signal to help, but he did share this explanation with Fadel:
“There are a group of characters who are actually strong-arming tourists and actually asking for $20 tips, which is ridiculous. And they force them to pay,” he said.
There were no arrests. And there were no injuries, because, you know, they're superheroes.
