‘Spider-Man’ Confirms Exit of Natalie Mendoza

Departure from troubled musical first reported earlier this week

Michael Cohl, the lead producer of the Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," formally announced in a statement on Thursday that the actress Natalie Mendoza was leaving the show.

Ms. Mendoza, who portrayed the mythical spider-woman Arachne in the musical, suffered a concussion in the show’s first preview performance in November and had not appeared in it since Dec. 20, when a co-star, Christopher Tierney, was injured in a mid-performance accident. Word of Mendoza's exit surfaced earlier this week.
