Spurlock, Whedon’s Comic-Con Doc

Feature-length “Episode Four: A Fan’s Hope” will track the lives of seven zealots as they prep for the convention

A filmmaking contingent including Morgan Spurlock, Stan Lee and Joss Whedon formally announced their new Comic-Con documentary feature.

“Comic-Con Episode Four: A Fan’s Hope” will follow seven people from disparate global parts as they prepare to attend the San Diego-based comics convention this year.

Other producers involved with the project include fanboy blogger Harry Knowles, Jeremy Chilnick and Thomas Tull.

“When I was a kid, comics changed my life and my world,” Spurlock said “So when I got to San Diego, I felt like I was home. It was such an overwhelming experience for me, and I soon found out that I was not alone.”
