A “Star Wars” game show is coming to Disney+ in 2020.

The nascent streamer ordered “Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge,” a competition series that will pit contestants against each other to see who can be the best Jedi. According to Disney, the competition will test contestants in the core Jedi principles of strength, knowledge, and bravery.

Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks in the prequel “Star Wars” trilogy, will host the series. Best will be joined by a humanoid droid companion voiced by Mary Holland.

“This is definitely a kids game show like no other,” says Lucasfilm’s senior director of Online Content & Programming, Mickey Capoferri. “The various challenges will test a Padawan’s connection to the Force in three locations — a forest planet, on board a Jedi star cruiser, and inside a Jedi Temple — immersing them and the audience in a fun, humorous, and exciting competition.”

“Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge” is executive produced by Lucasfilm, Dean Houser, and David Chamberlin and Mike Antinoro from Endeavor Content.

“Jedi Temple Challenge” joins a growing roster of “Star Wars”-based TV shows on Disney+, which launched in November, including “The Mandalorian,” and future series centered on Diego Luna’s “Rogue One” character Cassian Andor, and Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. Disney+ is also reviving the animated “Clone Wars” series.
