“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” villain Kylo Ren may look pretty cool in that Vader-like mask, but Adam Driver hated wearing it.
“It was terrible,” the newcomer to the franchise told Conan O’Brien on Thursday. “To this day, I still don’t know who is in the movie because I haven’t seen it.”
He added that the actors in the stormtrooper costumes share his sentiment because vision is so limited while wearing those signature white helmets.
“When you watch the original trilogy, you see the stormtroopers moving in uniform, but what you don’t see is when one stormtrooper is just talking to a wall because he thinks it’s a person,” he joked.
Driver was a guest on O’Brien’s “Star Wars” special with Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in the film. One thing Isaac revealed about Driver is that he rehearsed the deep, dark voice of Kylo Ren for a while before shooting, but one day was told to “try something different” on set, to which he started pacing back and forth.
