“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” made its world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night, and the first reviews are in — and they’re all 140 characters or less.
Among the lucky first few to see the highly anticipated sequel include actors Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Bryce Dallas Howard and Josh Gad, the latter of which echoed other positive reactions on Twitter by calling it “incredible.”
“Pitch Perfect 2” director and “Hunger Games” star Banks tweeted, “#StarWarsForceAwakens totally delivers #nospoilers I repeat #nospoilers again #nospoilers just #wow.”

“The Force Awakens” hits theaters this Friday and has had massive sell-outs for opening weekend shows. It killed in advance ticket sales — $50 million three weeks ago, and likely double that now — while die-hard fans have been camping out on Hollywood Boulevard since Dec. 5 to get one of the first looks at the new film.
Your most trusted film critics will be publishing their reviews when the embargo lifts at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday, but until then, read significantly shorter reactions below.
