John Boyega’s Finn finally awakes from his healing chamber in the latest television spot for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
“I was raised to fight. For the first time, I have something to fight for,” the former Stormtrooper says in the clip.

Boyega told Entertainment Weekly at this year’s Star Wars: Celebration that his character would be in a “bad way.”
“He has a lot of issues. He got slashed with a saber, and that took him down real hard, so he’s in a coma,” said Boyega. “That suit, that whole thing helps him to recover. But we’re not sure whether that means he’ll wake up.”
The new trilogy will be separate from the main Skywalker saga and, according to a Disney press release, the film will “introduce new characters from a corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never before explored.”
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” also stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” arrives in U.S. theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
