Stephen Colbert Is Hannibal Lecter to Jodie Foster’s Clarice in ‘Silence of the Trumps’ (Video)

FBI trainee Clarice has a favor to ask of the notorious cannibal

Being locked up with a flesh-eating serial killer is a whole lot less scary than being free to wander the streets with Donald Trump in the Oval Office, according to a “Silence of the Lambs” parody on Friday night’s “Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Jodie Foster reprised her Oscar-winning role as FBI trainee Clarice Starling, who pays the imprisoned Hannibal Lecter (Colbert) a visit to ask for help with the Bureau’s Russia investigation in a spoof titled “Silence of the Trumps.”

Hannibal tells Clarice that he and Trump were golfing buddies who dined with their caddy once… actually… dined on their caddy once. He asks what evidence the FBI has on Trump so far, and she rattles off a laundry list, including indictments, guilty pleas, outreach to the Kremlin, unreported meetings with Russians, yadda yadda yadda.

With all that, what does she need from Hannibal?

“I want to come in there with you,” she says.

“You know I eat people, right? It’s kind of my thing,” he replies.

“Yeah,” she shrugs. “It seems safer out there than it does out here.”
