Stephen Colbert Invites Trump Adviser to Tell Lies on ‘Late Show’ (Video)

“If you don’t show up, I’m going to call you a liar… if you do show up, I’m going to call you a liar to your face,” the comedian says to Stephen Miller

Stephen Colbert has extended an invitation to White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller to be a guest on “The Late Show. “If you don’t show up, I’m going to call you a liar… if you do show up, I’m going to call you a liar to your face,” the host taunted on Monday night’s episode.

Colbert made the offer after showing a video of Miller angrily saying he would defend Donald Trump on “any show, anywhere, anytime” during a recent interview on ABC’s “This Week.”

The comedian also mocked Miller’s recent statement that “the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”

Colbert pondered, “Will not be questioned? Let me test that theory. What the f–k are you talking about?”

The “Late Show” host criticized Miller’s comment that the border wall will pay for itself, saying, “I thought Mexico was paying for it.”

Miller appeared on numerous talk shows on Sunday to defend President Trump’s travel ban and criticize the court that ruled against it, but not everyone was a fan. MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were among the many pundits to bash Miller.

“Maybe he’s just stupid. Maybe he’s just dumb. Maybe he’s just ignorant and maybe I shouldn’t be so tough on him,” Scarborough said.
