Stephen Colbert‘s introduction to his show on Tuesday night contained everything you need to know about tech hysteria:
“Folks, I just need one second here,” he said, peering at his phone. “I’m just trying to load the iPhone 6 announcement, so I can find out why I suddenly hate the iPhone 5 I’m hating it on.”

As he later pointed out, of course, the big news out of the announcement in Cupertino was the revelation of the Apple Watch, which totally vindicates his youthful (and very nerdy) choice to wear a calculator wrist watch.
