‘Stranger Things 3’ Set for 2019 Premiere on Netflix – Here’s a Sneak Peek at Episode Titles (Video)

Let the theorizing begin

Netflix is taking you back to the Upside Down next year. The streamer dropped a new teaser video Sunday, announcing “Stranger Things 3” will launch in 2019.

Though a date isn’t set yet for the return of the Millie Bobby Brown-led sci-fi series, Netflix did offer up a sneak peek at the next installment’s episode titles in the 1-minute clip, which include: “Suzie, Do You Copy?,” “The Mall Rats,” “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,” “The Sauna Test,” “The Source,” “The Birthday,” “The Bite” and “The Battle of Starcourt.”

(Yes, you have permission to begin theorizing about those eight monikers immediately.)

“In the summer of 1985, the adventure continues…” a title card closing out the video reads, before the teaser confirms the third season of the Duffer Brothers-created show will launch next year.

The news that “Stranger Things” won’t be returning until 2019 isn’t exactly a shock, as it was widely presumed it wouldn’t debut its new season until at least next summer, thanks to a teaser that heavily implied that far-off premiere date and Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland’s remarks when asked about said teaser’s implications.

“Well, it’s a hand-crafted show. You know, the Duffer Brothers and [director] Shawn Levy have worked really hard, and they understand the stakes are high,” Holland told reporters during the Television Critics Association’s press tour in July. “They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so, they really want to take the time to get it right. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic season. It’s gonna be worth the wait.”
