Even David Harbour Doesn’t Know if Hopper’s Dead on ‘Stranger Things’ (Video)

So he FaceTimes the Duffer Brothers during “Late Night With Seth Meyers” taping

Seth Meyers wants to know if Hopper is dead on “Stranger Things,” but even David Harbour doesn’t know his character’s fate from the Season 3 cliffhanger.

“I always knew that Hopper had to make a sacrifice,” Harbour told the  inquisitive NBC “Late Night” host late last night. “He’s a jerk, and he needs to pay for that in some way.”

We guess the whole dead daughter thing isn’t prepayment enough?

Anyway, in the Season 3 finale, it appears that Hopper sacrificed himself to save the town — and arguably, the world — getting vaporized to close yet another portal to the upside-down.

Or did he?

Meyers and Harbour were talking about the post-credits scene from the “Stranger Things 3” finale, where Russians were discussing “The American,” who is apparently still alive. Viewers — and Harbour — assumed the baddies were talking about Hawkins, Indiana, cop Hopper.

By the way, don’t start screaming at us in the comments section about spoilers. When Harbour himself tried to wedge in a “spoiler alert,” Meyers stopped him.

“But also, like, try to keep up with culture as it happens,” the former “Saturday Night Live” head writer said. “There are just very few things we all watch and it would be nice if you would join us.”

In search of intel, Harbour and Meyers FaceTimed the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross. They answered.

“I mean, we’re still figuring it out, David,” Ross Duffer responded to the 30 Rock studio audience and NBC viewers.

Meyers then attempts to bribe the brothers with a $1 dollar bill that fell out of Harbour’s pocket. Didn’t work.
