‘Stranger Things’: Justice for Barb Comes at Last on ‘Tonight Show’ (Video)

Thanks to Jimmy Fallon and head writer A.D. Miles, Barb returns from the Upside Down

Spoilers, for anyone who hasn’t seen season one of Netflix’s “Stranger Things.”

Barb is back, and she ain’t happy.

The internet’s current favorite dowdy redhead from “Stranger Things” got to confront her abandoners in a sketch from Wednesday’s “Tonight Show,” though head writer A.D. Miles replaced original Barb Shannon Purser.

Jock Steve, played by Fallon instead of Jean Ralphio lookalike Joe Keery, brings Barb down to the basement, where preteen boys Dustin (Gaten Matazarro), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and a surprisingly whole Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) are playing Dungeons and Dragons.

“What the f—?” she yells at the assembled “Stranger Things” boys. “There were two people down there, and you rescued one of ’em,” she says, flipping them the bird.

One of the more surprising elements of the “Stranger Things” internet phenomenon was the outpouring of love for Barb, best friend of Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer).

When practical Barb was taken by the Monster into the Upside Down, and then later revealed to be dead, it inspired the #JusticeforBarb topic on Twitter.

“No one even cares I was missing!” Barb rants in the clip. “No search party for Barb! No fake corpse stuffed with cotton for Barb!”
