“Suicide Squad” trailers have been teasing fans for months with the movie’s cool-ass soundtrack, kick-ass ladies and manic mayhem.
And now Funny or Die has created its version of the twisted superhero tale titled “Suicide Squad: The B Team.”
Using a mashup of clips from your movie dreams and worst nightmares along with a dramatic rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the mock trailer is a twisted take on the DC supervillains who team up to fight for the government.
The 1:33 minute montage features outtakes from “Hocus Pocus,” “Home Alone,” “Beetlejuice,” “Austin Powers,” “The Goonies,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “The Grinch” and even John Travolta‘s sci-fi debacle, “Battlefield Earth.”
As for the real “Suicide Squad,” the David Ayer-directed film stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz and Scott Eastwood.
“Suicide Squad” is set to hit theaters Aug. 5.
