After a decade on the air, the Winchester boys and company need to mix things up almost every year to keep things fresh.
“Together we create the perfect hell,” Mark Sheppard’s Crowley tells Jensen Ackles’ Dean in the promo for “Supernatural’s” 10th season
This time around, they’ve decided to let Jensen Ackles cut loose as Demon Dean, or “Deanmon,” as The CW wants to call him.
The season arc is set as Dean cuts his way loose, and it’s up to his brother Sam (Jared Padelecki) to either save him or put him down. And Demon Dean looks like he’s out to have some fun. When he’s not hitting on strippers and looking at adult magazines in convenience stores, he’s singing karaoke … badly.
Dean has been one of the most intense and brooding characters on television for nearly a decade now, so one could argue that he deserves a chance to have some fun every once in a while. It’s just a shame it took a demon possession to get him there.
The quest for Dean’s soul begins when “Supernatural” Season 10 premieres on The CW Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9 EDT.
