Talent agents Susie Fox, John Sacks and Joanna Scott have left CAA and joined UTA, TheWrap has learned.
Sacks and Fox represent writers and talent across film and television, while Scott works in the touring area.
The trio joins UTA on the heels of the agency welcoming five new agents from CAA — Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Gregory McKnight, Greg Cavic and Nick Nuciforo — all of whom have been named partners.
Additionally, Rachel Rusch, Chelsea McKinnies, Matt Blake and Ryan Abboushi are expected to join UTA from CAA, bringing the total number of defecting agents to 12.
The CAA-UTA rivalry has escalated this past week, with UTA signing Grammy-winning artist Kanye West away from CAA, as TheWrap first reported.
The agent defections represent a major blow to the culture at CAA, which is already planning to pursue legal action against UTA, according to an individual with knowledge of the situation.
UTA has already lured major stars such as Chris Pratt and Will Ferrell away from CAA, with many more top earners still in play and other agencies waiting in the wings.
